According to Branson West Police Chief Steve Dalton, one of his patrol officers pulled over a vehicle for suspicion of a DWI in a Notch parking lot. The driver then drove away after being stopped and eventually crashed the vehicle near Metropolitan Bank around 3:15 a.m.

The female passenger was then taken into custody while the male driver fled the scene on foot. Branson West Police Officers with the assistance of the Stone County Sheriff’s Office started a manhunt that eventually led to the suspect’s capture in a wooded area between Stoneridge and Notch just after 10 a.m.
