Lead Hill residents will be asked to approve a new sales tax in November.
The proceeds would be used to repay the Ozark Mountain Regional Public Water Authority, which sued the city for non-payment after council members decided the unhook from the water system last October.
A judge ruled last week that Lead Hill must reconnect to the system and start making monthly payments. The judge also ordered city officials to pursue a sales tax rather than impose a water rate increase.
Lead Hill reportedly owes the water company approximately 66-thousand dollars.
