GALENA, Mo. – Circuit Court Judge Jack Goodman sentences 49-year-old William Kelley to two life sentences for two counts of first degree sodomy.
According to Stone County Prosecutor Matt Selby, the victims, two girls ages six and seven, told their father they had been touched inappropriately by another man. The girls described Kelley’s bedroom in detail to investigators, who watched them while their father was at work.
Stone County Detective Bruce Belin says Kelley admitted to molesting the victims on a number of occasions during the fall of 2013. Kelley previously served five years in prison for similar crimes in 1992.
Matt Selby asked for life sentences on both counts saying, “The best indicator of future conduct is past behavior. The defendant has two strikes and society should be protected from the possibility of a third.”
