A man from Forsyth is sentenced to 5 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections after entering an Alford plea to a charge of second-degree statutory rape.

Twenty-four-year-old Andrew Hoover received credit for the time he’s served in the Taney County Jail awaiting his disposition.

According to a probable cause statement, Hoover had sex with two girls ages 13 and 15 while he was staying overnight at a home in Merriam Woods as a friend of the family.
