Primary Election Tuesday

thumb_d674d75188d316fVoters in Stone and Taney Counties will decide several contested races in today’s Primary Election.

Stone County voters will decide contested races for County Clerk and Presiding Commissioner in the Republican Primary. Voters in the city of Branson West will decide a ballot issue establishing a proposed 20-year franchise agreement with Summit Natural Gas.

Voters in Stone and Taney Counties will see contested races on the Democratic and Republican ballots for U-S Congressman, District 7.

Taney County has 5 contested races in the Republican Primary, including those for Circuit Clerk, Recorder of Deeds, Division 2 Associate Circuit Judge, Presiding Commissioner and County Clerk. Contested state races include State Representative for Missouri House Districts 155 and 156.

Voters across the state will decide 5 constitutional amendments, including Amendment 7, which proposes a state-wide sales tax increase of three-quarters of a cent over a 10-year period for transportation improvements.
