FLIPPIN, Ark. – A Flippin man is behind bars for allegedly writing bad checks totaling around five hundred dollars.
According to Flippin Police Chief Dusty Smith, 33-year-old Chad Prewitt is charged with felony forgery after he wrote checks on a fake account earlier this month. According to Smith, Prewitt returned the items purchased on the forged checks and was given cash in exchange. The business later learned the bank account was closed and did not belong to Prewitt.
He was held in the Marion County Jail and later released on 25-hundred dollars bond.
