Monett Couple Injured in Crash on Hwy. 60

A man and woman from Monett are hurt in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 60 two miles west of Monett in Barry County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 46-year-old William Sellek was eastbound at 3:17 p.m. Tuesday, when he experienced front wheel failure causing his car to turn abruptly into the path of a pickup that was attempting to pass him.

Sellek was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment of serious injuries. His passenger, 44-year-old Deborah Sellek, was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Monett for treatment of moderate injuries.
