Wood’s opponent, David Stump Jr., chose not to participate in the candidate forum.
Wood has lived in the Kimberling City area for over 42 years. He has served as Presiding Commissioner of Stone County since 2009, and also served in the Missouri House representing District 62 from 2002 through 2009. He says he wants to focus on expansion to help jail overcrowding:
