Attempted Robbery Reported in Harrison

HARRISON, Ark. – The Harrison Police Department is seeking the suspect responsible for a reported attempted robbery on Saturday night in Harrison.

According to a report, the robbery took place around 10:30 p.m. at the White Oak Station near Walmart. Harrison Police Chief Paul Woodruff says the store clerk was emptying trash cans when she was approached by a white male wearing a dark colored hat with a blue bandana covering his face. He told the woman, “This is a stick up,” and flashed a silver object, according to the report.

Chief Woodruff says the suspect attempted to enter the gas station but then changed his mind and fled the scene.

Police are still investigating the incident a reviewing the security tape. Investigators believe the man is about 5-feet-nine-inches tall, with a slender frame.
