MARSHFIELD, Mo. – A one-vehicle accident sends a park tractor into a residence.
According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, 18-year-old Melissa Schmidt of Springfield was northbound on Route W eight miles north of Marshfield at 2:20 this morning when she failed to negotiate a curve, ran off the roadway, struck a ditch and a parked farm tractor. The impact then forced the tractor into a residence.
Schmidt and her passenger, 21-year-old James Lawson both suffered moderate injuries and were transported to Cox South Hospital in Springfield. According to the report, no injuries were reported from inside the residence.
