BULL SHOALS, Ark. – A judge has set a new trial date for the Bull Shoals Police Chief, who accused of using excessive force.
A three-day trial in U.S. District Court in Harrison ended in a mistrial for Daniel Sutterfield, as the jury could not reach a unanimous decision on the charge of excessive force. The jury did reach a decision on charges of falsifying records and conspiracy to falsify records, agreeing that Sutterfield is innocent on those counts.
U.S. District Judge Timothy Brooks has set aside three days for Sutterfield’s trial in federal court in Fayetteville, beginning on August 18.
