The Missouri Department of Conservation names Branson firefighter, Engineer Josh Boehm “Bowhunter Education Instructor of the Year for the State of Missouri.”
Boehm previously was named instructor of the year for the southwest district. He is one of 5 instructors with Branson Fire & Rescue who work together to offer bowhunting education courses in the fall.
Boehm says in a news release that the fire department’s partnership with MDC is a great asset to the community. He says the MDC’s outdoor skills specialist and 3 area agents are wonderful to work with.
Boehm also credits Fire Chief Ted Martin and City of Branson staff members for their support of the bowhunter education program.
The 2014 classes begin August 16 at the Branson Joint Emergency Training Center. HometownDailyNews.com will post a follow-up story with information for those interested in participating in this year’s program.
