The missing teenager from West Plains is found safe in Baxter County, according to a report.
West Plains police say boaters found 17-year-old Dylan Saltkill swimming in Norfork Lake around 6:30 p.m. Monday and called the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office.
Saltkill was last seen at his residence in West Plains Sunday morning and police issued an Endangered Person Advisory on Monday.
WEST PLAINS, Mo. – An Endangered Person Advisory is issued for a missing teenager from West Plains with mental disabilities.
Police say 17-year-old Dylan Saltkill was last seen at his home Sunday morning, and allegedly stole his caretaker’s vehicle and ran away. According to officials, the teen has a mental capacity of ten-year-old.
Law enforcement officers later found the vehicle, wrecked and abandoned on Highway KK in Ozark County. Investigators believe he may be headed to Mountain Home.
He was last spotted at Highway 201 and J Highway near Howard’s Ridge in Ozark County wearing a blue NASCAR shirt, jean shorts, and white sneakers. He is described as 5’4″ tall and weighing about 175 lbs.
If anyone has information on the teen’s whereabouts, they are urged to call 911 or the local authorities.
