Nearly 1 in 3 Ark. Kids Live in Poverty

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.-The 25th Annual Kids Count Report reveals three out ten children in Arkansas are living in poverty.

The Annie E. Casey Foundation released the report today (Tuesday) saying the percentage of children in poverty has increased, however, the number of those without health insurance has dropped.

According to Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families the trend of the increase of poverty is seen nationwide.
