High School Football Kick-offs Next Month

The 2014 High School Football Season is set to open in just over a month as the Missouri Lakes Area Schools wind down their Summer Programs.

Each of the Lakes Area Programs enter the new season with new men at the helm, as Dan Henderson takes over at Branson High School for long time Head Coach Steve Hancock, who has moved up the road to take over the program at Springfield Catholic. Hollister and Reeds Spring have staff members stepping up to take over the helm as Jacob Hamon will guide the Tigers after Head Coach Kevin Roepke stepped down six years after starting the program. Meanwhile at Reeds Spring, Lance Gosch takes over for Brian Moler, who will stay on the staff as an Assistant while assuming a new role as Assistant High School Principal.

In addition to coaching changes, there will be a new look at Branson High School’s Pirate Stadium as Artificial Turf is being installed and should be ready for the start of the 2014 season.

Each team will take part in a Jamboree August 15 before kicking off the 2014 Regular Season the following Friday.
