Unemployment Rate Declines in Arkansas

ARKANSAS – Data collected by the U.S. Department of Labor and the Bureau of Labor Statistics release a report showing the unemployment rate dropping two-tenths of a percent from May to June.

According to the findings, the unemployment rate in May was 6.4% which dipped to 6.2% in June. Arkansas’ civilian labor force declined 9,300– a result of 6,700 fewer employed and 2,600 fewer employed Arkansans.

Nationally, the jobless rate declines to 6.1% in June.
