Johnson to Seek Election as Circuit Judge

A special election in November will decide the replacement for 38th Judicial Circuit Presiding Judge Mark Orr, who passed away June 1st following a battle with cancer.

Republican Judiciary Committee members in Christian and Taney Counties have selected Ozark attorney Laura Johnson to represent their party in the election. Johnson tells HometownDailyNews.com that becoming a judge has been her goal for nearly 25 years…

According to the Missouri Secretary of State’s Office in Jefferson City, Johnson and her potential Democratic challenger have until August 22nd to file for the November 4th special election.

Johnson withdrew from the Division 2 Associate Circuit Judge election in Christian County in order to seek election as Presiding Circuit Judge.
