HARRISON, Ark.-The North Arkansas College head baseball coach is arrested for failure to appear in court on building violations.
Sixty-seven-year-old, Phillip Wilson is the owner of Hoops and Homeruns, the motel that was damaged by a storm in 2007. Since then the building has been vacant.
The city has cited Wilson several times for violation of the city’s fire code and clean premises ordinance.
In one of his court appearances for the citations, Wilson allegedly ensured renovations would be completed by May of this year. Still no work has been done. On Friday, Wilson was arrested for failure to appear in court.
Wilson faces charges of failure to appear in court on two counts of violation of the city fire code and one count of violating the clean premises act. His bond is set at $1,125.
He was released on a signature bond later that afternoon with a District Court date set for Wednesday, July 23.
