New Fire Gear Discussed for Branson FD

BRANSON, Mo. – The Branson Fire Department is looking to replace some of its fire gear, as the Board of Aldermen give the initial nod to the measure.

Branson Fire Chief Ted Martin says the protective clothing, commonly referred to as “bunker gear” includes pants and coats. According to Martin, the bid for 12 sets of gear accounts for about 1/3 of the department’s bunker gear inventory:

Martin says the 12 sets are the bare minimum needed to keep their inventory up to date with safety standards. The bid is from Leo M. Ellebracht Company out of Wentzville, Mo.
