The Omaha Fire Department is looking to expand to better serve the needs of its fire district by adding a substation.
According to a report, Boone County Judge James Norton and Omaha Fire Chief Roger Husser are looking at property near old Highway 65 near Burlington. According to Norton, the owner is asking $6,500 for the land.
According to the report, Norton is working on grants to fund the purchase of both the property and construction of the substation.
