JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Governor Jay Nixon announces his veto on several bills that would provide special tax breaks to certain industries.
Nixon says the tax breaks could have reduced state revenues by $425-million and local revenues by $351-million.
The legislation includes tax breaks for computer data centers, power companies, and restaurants.
Republican lawmakers dispute Nixon’s claims, and say they have incorrectly applied by the Department of Revenue.
