Men Indicted for Stealing Handguns

thumb_bdf29e27aeca2feFour people are indicted by a federal grand jury for stealing handguns from a pawn shop in Ozark.

The indictment alleges 27-year-old Daryl Maples, 32-year-old Corey Downard, 23-year-old Matthew Oakley and 25-year-old Michael Heston aided and abetted each other to illegally enter Sutton Gun and Pawn in Ozark and steal a total of 21 handguns on December 21st, 2012.

Maples and Downard, both of Springfield, are also charged with being felons in possession of firearms and ammunition.

The case was investigated by the Ozark and Springfield Police Departments and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
