CASSVILLE, Mo. – A man is shot and killed in an officer-involved shooting in Cassville Tuesday morning.
The officer responded to a domestic call at a residence sometime before noon. Authorities say the officer was attacked by a man who struck the officer with a pipe. The officer fired his firearm and the man died en route to a Springfield hospital.
The officer is being treated for injuries at a Cassville hospital and is on paid administrative leave during the investigation.
