A woman from Omaha, Arkansas is hurt as she attempts to avoid hitting a deer on Gunnison Road seven miles south of Kirbyville in Taney County.
State troopers say 80-year-old Marilyn Bishop was southbound at 9:30 p.m. Thursday, when she swerved her car to miss the deer, ran off the road and struck a tree.
Bishop was taken by ambulance to Cox Medical Center in Branson for treatment of moderate injuries.
