The Hollister Board of Aldermen approves a special event permit for a 5K walk-run to be held in conjunction with Branson Lakes Area Law Enforcement Recognition Week. The event will begin at 6 a.m. Saturday, June 21st at the Chad A. Fuqua Memorial Park next to Hollister City Hall.
Also during their regular meeting Thursday night (June 5th), aldermen approved plans for the city’s 61st annual fireworks display July 4th. The board approved a financial services agreement with Piper Jaffray and okayed an intergovernmental funding agreement between Hollister and Taney County for upgrades to the city’s wastewater treatment plant. That agreement is pending approval from the city’s insurance provider.
