thumb_368dd8c1b4a8de3BRANSON, Mo. – Branson aldermen approve a series of contracts with services provided by local organizations benefiting the city.

The city of Branson asks the different agencies to provide services for various departments, and also prepares the city for emergency situations.

Branson Fire Chief Ted Martin sits on the committee that determines which agencies are recommended to the board of alderman:

The following agreements are approved:

-$5,000 for Faith Community Health Center, Inc. for prescription and medication assistance.

-$5,500 for Ozarks Area Community Action Corporation, which provides emergency assistance in the form of automotive repair, gas vouchers, and water and sewer assistance.

-$10,000 for the Women’s Crisis Center of Taney County, Inc. for 24-hour crisis intervention, shelter access and referrals.

-$12,000 for Christian Action Ministries for emergency food assistance.

-$20,000 for the Branson Arts Council which provides opportunities for young people to experience the arts.

A bill proposing a contract between the city and the Salvation Army for 75-hundred dollars will be presented to the board at a later date.
